Syntypes (5): formerly ANSP & USNM, collected by Rüse, between 1855–1862. [lost fide Schwartz & Henderson (1991: 585)]

Type locality: “St. Johns and St. Thomas, W.I.”, restricted to “St. Thomas”, U.S. Virgin Islands by Schwartz (1967: 3).
