Macrostylis galatheae Wolff, 1956

Syntypes: ZMUC CRU-6509 (one for all?) - fragments of a male and 3 females
Type-locality: Philippine Trench, Pacific Ocean; 10°20'N 126°41'E. Habitat: marine benthic, 9790 m depth

The Philippine Trench, Pacific Ocean (Wolff, 1956, Mezhov, 1989).

Habitat

Deep-sea marine benthic species, found at hadal depths (8440-9790 m). Substrates: stiff clay (Wolff, 1956, Mezhov, 1989).
