Holotype: MZUA.AN.0633, adult ♀, collected by Christian Nieves and Danny Villalta in September 2013.

Type locality: “at the Ecological Conservation Area Tinajillas-Río Gualaceño (3.011677° S, 78.614464° W [WGS84], elevation: 2770 m), Morona Santiago province, Ecuador”.
