  • Holotype: MNCN 279.718.
  • Paratypes: Thirty-one specimens from the Ifrane River, Sebou Basin, Ouad Ifrane, Atlantic slope in Morocco, and Twenty-three specimens from Tizguit River, Sebou Basin, Ifrane, Atlantic slope in Morocco.

Type locality: Ifrane River, Sebou Basin, Ouad Ifrane, Atlantic slope in Morocco (33.296957, -5.492639).

Etymology: The species name “maghrebensis” has been selected because it is mainly distributed in the northwestern area of the Maghreb region.
