Note

Loxanthocereus is not accepted by CACO and is still placed in synonymy with Borzicactus Riccob., Boll. Reale Orto Bot. Palermo 8: 261. (1909). However, POWO and many botanists {Janeba, 2018) accept this taxon, but note p.12 Hunt (2016). WS can not take sides during a taxonomic dispute.
