- Holotype: SC 2012.48.71, tooth crown.
- Paratypes: SC 2012.48.72, tooth crown; 2012.48.74, incomplete tooth crown; 2012.48.75, tooth crown.
Type locality: along low banks on the south side of Luxapalila Creek in Columbus, Lowndes County, Mississippi, USA.
Etymology: The species name alludes to the crests (ridges) occurring at various locations on the tooth crown.
