Life habit: Lichenicolous fungus (parasite on living lichens)
Type: Mexico. Chihuahua: Sierra Madre Occidental, moutain chains of W of Nuevo Casas Grandes, foothills SW of Janos, hills, NE above water reservoir, 30o39'10"N, 108 o27'45"W, c. 1620 m, on N-facing cliffs on the hilltop, scattered volcanic rocks in a pasture, J. Hafellner 37124 (holotype in GZU)
Hosts: On the thallus and apothecia of Buellia species, without causing any apparent damage.
