  • Holotype locality: Malabar Reef, Lord Howe Island, N.S.W., Australia (31º29' S; 159º03' E).
  • Holotype: GWS-02088 (tetrasporic): G.W. Saunders, R. Withall & G. Kraft; 3 February 2004; from 18-20 m, on the back wall of bommie undercuts. UNB. Isotype: GWS-002087 (tetrasporangial).
