• Leenhouts (1969: 46) cited the following specimens as Hainanese occurrences of this species, but Lo & Chen (1979) cited the same collections (cf. IBSC {0416756, 0416760; 0146759, 0246762}, IBK {IBK00152313 (50400)^{(GBIF, NSII)}; IBK00152314 (30509)}) as paratypes of Lepisanthes hainanensis H.S.Lo:
