[edit]- Leiopelma hochstetteri Fitzinger, 1861 [placed on the Official List of Specific Names in Zoology, with the Name Number 2591, by Melville (1977: 167)]
Type locality: "nördlichen Insel von Neu-Seeland in der Provinz Auckland und zwar in die Nähe des östlich von der Stadt Auckland gelegenen Hafens Coromandel an der Ostseite des Hauraki Golfes". Holotype?: NHMW 16385:1-2.
