- Holotype: ANSP 14977, ♀, collected by E. Meyenberg in 1901–1902.
- Type locality: “Davis Mountains, Jeff Davis county, Texas”, restricted to “vicinity of Madera Canyon,
Little Aguja Canyon, and Big Aguja Canyon” by Rhoads & Salmon (2012: 271).
