Holotype: AMNH 18397 - male
Type-locality: Pacific Ocean, Easter Island, Piko Bay. Habitat: marine benthic, shallow water
Paratypes: AMNH 18398 - female, male and 1 juvenile, USNM 1008958 - 2 juveniles
