- Holotype: KU 211940, adult ♀, collected by Fernando Cuadros, Michael E. Morrison and John J. Wiens between 31 January and 1 February 1989.
- Type locality: “the east slope of Abra Pardo de Miguel (05°46′S, 77°42′W), 2180 m, Provincia de Rioja, Departamento de San Martín, Peru”.
