- Holotype: USNM 257811, subadult ♂, collected by Mercedes S. Foster on 14 November 1979.
- Type locality: “Parjacti, 83.2 km by road NE Cochabamba on road to Villa Tunari, Chapare Province, Department of Cochabamba, Bolivia, elevation approximately 2044 m”.
