Name[edit]

Hemigrammus rubrostriatus Zarske, 2015

Holotype: MTD F 33435. Paratypes: MTD F 33436–33445 (10).

Type locality: Grenzgebiet Kolumbien Venezuela [border area of Colombia and Venezuela].

Etymology: Named after the characteristical coloration of the species: rubrus (= red), and striatus (= striped).
