Hemigrammus bleheri Géry and Mahnert, 1986

Etymology: Species is named in appreciation after German aquarist and fish explorer Heiko Bleher, who first purchased the catch and sent them out for identification.

Locality: Middle Rio Negro basin, Brazil (probably near Rio Jufaris)
