Name[edit]

Hemibagrus menoda (Hamilton, 1822)

  • Originally no types known.
  • Neotype: UMMZ 208726.
    • Neotype designated by Ng & Ferraris (2000).

Type locality: Sharighat bazaar, 35 km North-East of Sylhet on Sylhet–Shillong highway, said to be from Shari River, Bangladesh; figure in erroneously labelled Mugil corsula; [original Kosi River, Mahanandu River, and other rivers in north of Behar and Bengal, India].
