Fowler (1878–1965), who was the first full-time curator of fishes at the Academy of Natural Sciences from 1902–1965. “Bud” is gratefully acknowledged for his generous support of Academy ichthyology, including the preservation of Fowler’s legacy and the stewardship of his uncle’s fishes.
