Holotype: BMNH 1977.1.10.54. [Paratypes: BMNH 1977.1.10.55-59 (5)].
Type locality: Mwanza Gulf, near eastern end of Muranda Peninsula, Lake Victoria [Victoria Nyanza], Tanzania, depth 4-8 meters.
