• Type locality: Taiwan: Cilan, Takejin (= Takazinm) River, the headstream of Danshuei (= Tansui) River, Jianshih, Hsinchu County (near Yilan [= Ilan] County), 24°32’08.7” N, 121°23’09.7” E, 1950 m.
• Holotype: ♂ (18.8 x 14.4 mm); NCHU 13617; leg. H.-T. Shih & J.-J. Mao; 2009-03-28.
