George Brettingham Sowerby I

George Brettingham Sowerby I (12.V.1788 - 26.VII.1854), British naturalist, illustrator and conchologist.
- Son of James Sowerby, brother of James de Carle Sowerby and Charles Edward Sowerby, father of George Brettingham Sowerby II, uncle of James Sowerby and John Edward Sowerby, grandfather of George Brettingham Sowerby III, great-granduncle of Arthur de Carle Sowerby.
