Name

Galaxiella pusilla (Mack, 1936)

Holotype: NMV A97. Paratypes: NMV A98 (1), A388-390 (1, 1, 1).

Type locality: Cardinia Creek, about 30 miles east of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

Etymology: The name pusilla is from the Latin pusillus (as originally used by Mack, 1936), meaning ‘very small’.
