Holotype: MNHN -IU-2013-8308, ♀, 15 Abril 2009.
Type locality: Mozambique. MAINBAZA, Stn CC3159, 23°53.80’S, 35°37.58’E, 148–152 m.
Etymology: The name Hydra, the Sea Serpent, refers to one of the southern hemisphere constellations.
