Holotype: MNHN -IU-2013-13327, ♂, 4 October 2006.
Type locality: Vanuatu. SANTO, Stn DB86, 15°38.5'S, 167°15.1'E, 13 m.
Etymology: The name Cymo, wave, refers to one of the Nereids of Greek mythology.
