See Triniteurybia aberrans Brouillet, Urbatsch & R.P.Roberts, Sida 21(2): 898. (2004) for an alternative view. However, Nesom points out that this species only differs from other Eurybia in not having ray florets and the phylogenetic evidence for separation is weak.
