• Typus: P.J. Eyma 4357 (male flower, [15–16 January 1939]; holotypus: A 00026152^(JSTOR); isotypi: BO [seen by P.I. Forster], K [​K001080222^(JSTOR)], L {0272829^(JSTOR), 0272831^(JSTOR)})
• Type locality: [Indonesia.] Netherlands New Guinea[Papua Barat]: Western part of Central Mountain Region[Paniai Regency], Lake Paniái (one of the Wissel[Paniai] Lakes), Enárotali, in presumably secondary open shrubby vegetation on a low limestone hill behind the Station, close to the Lake and the surrounding plains, about 1800 m alt.
