- Typus: C. Feddema 2699 (in flower, 23 November 1963; Holotypus: MICH [MICH1111195(GBIF, JSTOR)]; ⧼Isotypi⧽: CAS [CAS00124090(GBIF, JSTOR)], MICH).
- Type locality: Mexico. Michoacan: Rancho Chila, circa 20 km SE of Coahuayana, and circa 5 km NW of Aquila.
