- Holotype: ZSI 15659 (formerly I.M. No. 142a), adult ♂, body in alcohol with skull extracted, presented by W.T. Blanford on 9 August 1878.
- Type locality: “Shikarpur, [east of Rohri,] Sind”, Pakistan.
