Endohyalina diederichii Giralt, Van den Boom & Elix, 2010


Diagnosis: Lichen lichenicola, Endohyalinae ericinae var. ericinae similis, sed thallos lichenum Ramalinae incolens, thallo endokapylico vel epikapylico, debiliter evoluto, e granulis minutis; apotheciis minoribus et apotheciis juvenilibus in hospitis thallo immersis.

Type: MACARONESIA. Canary Islands, Lanzarote, SWof Haria, Valle del Malpaso NW slope in valley with volcanic outcrops and Pinus trees, on N sloping rock, 515 m, 29°07.8″N, 13°31.2′′W, 07.03.2003, on Ramalina bourgeana Mont. ex Nyl., P. & B. Van den Boom 30459 (Holotype-GZU, isotype-hb. Van den Boom).

Etymology: Named in honor of the collector, lichenologist Paul Diederich.
