- Holotype: BMNH 1946.1.9.62, ♀, collected by T. Hardwicke between 1756–1823.
- Type locality: Unknown; designated as “Bengal, India” (in error) by Günther (1858: 146); corrected to “Malay Peninsula” by Boulenger (1896: 194).
