Type locality[edit]

Carnian, Late Triassic; Poor Farm Member, Falling Creek Formation, Doswell Group, Taylorsville basin. Pit dug for foundation of Doswell sewer plant, 0.4 miles (0.64 km) northwest of the confluence of the North Anna River and the Little River, near Doswell, Hanover County, Virginia, U.S.A.
