  • Typus: U.S.A., New Mexico: Lincoln Co., 12 road mi. E of Picacho Post Office, along draws m dry limestone hills, with Fouquieria & Dasylirion, 1440 m, 22 May 1987, R. C. Barneby 18233 (Holotype: NY; isotypes: GH, MO, NMC, RSA, TEX, UTEP).
