- Holotype: United States National History Smithsonian Institution 231564, 1 male.
- Allotype: United States National History Smithsonian Institution 231565, 1 female.
- Paratypes: United States National History Smithsonian Institution 231566, 1 male & 2 females.
- Type locality: five milles (8 km) southwest of Liberia, Costa Rica, Central America (10º30’N – 85º30’ W).
- Collector: Paul Spangler in January 24, 1965.
