Dascyllus melanurus Bleeker, 1854

Syntypes: RMNH 6452 (8) (2, very poor condition, in pieces).

Type locality: Banda Neira, Banda Island; Sumbawa Island; Priaman, Ulakan, western Sumatra, Indonesia.
