[edit]Cordylecladia guiryi Gargiulo, G.Furnari & Cormaci, 1990
- Type locality: Mediterranean Sea, Bay of Augusta (Sicily).
- Holotype: female gametophyte with cystocarps (fig. 2): September 1976; at 10 m depth, growing on Posidonia oceanica. MS 34038a. Isotype: MS 34038b, tetrasporangial plants (fig. 3).
- named in honour of Michael D. Guiry, Irish botanist.
