Name[edit]

Holotype: MRAC 135706. Paratypes: MRAC 135707-135710 (4).

Type locality: Democratic Republic of Congo, Yaekama, Congo River system, west of the town of Yangambi, 0°47’N, 24°17’E.

Etymology: From the Latin robustus, meaning heavy or strong, refers to the big size and robust overall body shape of the species.
