Cobitis hereromacula Chen et al., 2015

  • Holotype: IHB 76iv8293.
  • Paratypes: IHB 76iv8292, 76iv8228–9 (3); HU 2014207, 2014212 (2), 2014200–06, 2014208–11, 2014213, (12).

Type locality: Luohe River, Haifeng County in Guangdong Province in southern China (22°97′N, 115°37′E).

Etymology: The species name hereromacula is derived from the Greek heteros, meaning other, and macula, meaning spot, in reference to the color pattern of irregular dorsolateral speckles.
