  • Type locality: Russia: near Moscow.
  • Lectotype: Goroschankin 1890: pl. 14, fig.1 : strain SAG 50.86 (cryopreserved in liquid nitrogen) in Sammlung von Algenkulturen, Univ. of Göttingen, Germany (epitype) (Demchenko & al. 2012: 283). ITS-2 DNA Barcode: Barcode C in Fig. 3.
