Name[edit]

Lectotype: BMNH 1946.8.18.13, collected by Reverend R.T. Lowe. [designated by Miralles, Vasconcelos, Perera, Harris & Carranza (2010: 15)]

Type locality: “Cape-Verde Islands. ... from the islands of Fogo and St. Vincent's islands in the Cape-Verde group”, restricted by lectotype designation to “Fogo” by Miralles, Vasconcelos, Perera, Harris & Carranza (2010: 15).

Paralectotypes (8): BMNH 1946.8.18.8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 14, and 16, from ‘Fogo’, and BMNH 1946.8.19.53, from ‘St. Vincente’, collected by Rev. R.T. Lowe. [designated by Miralles, Vasconcelos, Perera, Harris & Carranza (2010: 15)]

Type locality: “St. Antão”, Cape Verde Islands.

Type locality: “Grande da Lagoa, NW of the Cova plateau, 10 km from the east coast of Sto. Antão, at 1200-m elevation”.
