- Holotype: CAS 60786.
- Paratypes: CAS 60787-89 (1, 10 now 9, 43 now 39); MNHN [ex CAS 60789] (2); SU 47471 (1).
Type locality: A small stream 2-3 kilometers west of Yokadouma [1], Mwamedjwel River, Congo River basin, Cameroon, western Africa.
Etymology: The specific epithet reticulatus, from the Latin, refers to the reticulum or network of tuberculated epidermal ridges.
