Caprosimilis Bieńkowska-Wasiluk & Bonde, 2015

Etymology: From the Latin similis and genus Capros Lacépéde, because the fish in general looks similar to species of this genus.

Note: Series, order and family incertae sedis, but acc. to the authors a close relative of members of Caproidae.
