- Type locality: Port Natal [Durban, South Africa].
- Lectotype: Ferdinand Krauss; (HBG selected by Papenfuss). Cystocarpic, in the lower left-hand corner on a paper cutout containing six plants carrying the number N. 272 (lower right , barcode BM 000774894). Isotypes: the five other plants on sheet N. 272 (barcode BM 000774894).
