Canaryichthys rozefeldsi Bartholomai, 2015

  • Holotype: QMF 17025, partial neurocranium comprising the only known specimen at this time, from ‘Canary’ Station, SE of Boulia, CWQ, minimally prepared by mechanical techniques.
  • Formation and Age: From the Toolebuc Formation of Early Cretaceous (Late Albian) age.

Etymology: Named for Dr Andrew Rozefelds (Head of Geosciences, Queensland Museum), who collected and prepared the holotype specimen during his previous appointment in the geological section of the Queensland Museum.
