Type: A.D. Little, Inc., of Cambridge, Massachusetts s.n. (August 1920; Holotype: A {00049026^{(GBIF, JSTOR)} [sheet 1], 00049027^{(GBIF, JSTOR)} [sheet 2]}; Isotype: US [US00095698 (1014640)^{(GBIF, JSTOR)}]).
Type locality: Panama. Chiriquicito Lagoon on the south side of Panama.
