Brachycaulos Dikshit & Panigrahi, Bull. Mus. Natl. Hist. Nat., B, Adansonia Sér. 4, 3(1): 58. (1981)

  • Type species: Brachycaulos simplicifolius Dikshit & Panigrahi, Bull. Mus. Natl. Hist. Nat., B, Adansonia Sér. 4, 3(1): 58. (1981)
  • monotypic taxon

Note: Rare monotypic genus that has never been analysed for affinity to subfamilies or tribes. Indeed it may not even be rosaceous - see Hassler (2021) who place it in Saxifragaceae. It is kept in Rosaceae as per protologue, as WS tends to be conservative.
