- Holotype: LIV 1986.212.385, adult ♂, collected by the Harenna Forest Expedition on 15 August 1986.
- Type locality: “12 km N of Katcha, Bale Mountains, Ethiopia (06°47′N 39°46′E, altitude 3200 m)”.
