Name[edit]

Apterichtus dunalailai McCosker & Hibino, 2015

  • Holotype: MNHN 1987-0810.
  • Paratypes: MNHN 1987-0811, 2001-1092.

Type locality: Vanuatu (17°53'S, 168°28'E), depth 291–300 m.

Etymology: Fijian (known from Vanuatu and Fiji) for a small eel, referring to its size (up to 289 mm).(From The ETYFish Project).
