    • Holotype: ANSP 9846 (neotype, designated Joyce 2014), partial shell, including carapacial and plastral remains (Leidy 1873, pl. 16.1–3).
    • Type locality: “Near Fort Bridger” Uinta County, Wyoming, USA, Early Eocene
