• Type locality: “Promontorium Bonae Spei [= Cape of Good Hope]”, Western Cape Province, Republic of South Africa.

Synonyms

• Bufo regularis rangeri Hewitt, 1935: 285 [synonymised by Ohler & Dubois (2016)]
  • Lectotype: PEM A822. [designated by Conradie, Branch & Watson (2015: 57)]
  • Type locality: “Gleniffer, near Kei Road, C[ape]. P[rovince]”, Republic of South Africa.
