Type locality: Iran, Mazandaran Prov., Tajan River, southern Caspian Sea basin, 36°11 N, 53°19 E.
Etymology: The name of the species, treated as an adjective, is derived from the historical name of Mazandaran Province (Tabarestan) which including Tajan River, the region where the type locality of the species is located.
